Wacky Hair Day

This week is Red Ribbon Week and today was Wacky Hair Day. I wore my hair in pig tails with red ribbons tied in it and Shad has his hair all spiked out. I kinda wish we would have waited to have his hair cut cause we could have done something awesome with his shaggy hair.

And I kinda wish I still had hair like I did in 9th grade so I could sport this hairdo again. Oh, the 80's! You had to love them! Maybe I'll try this next year. The funny thing is everyone had this feathered hairdo, it's just that I also sported a perm.

St. George Trip

Thriller!

We had so much fun at Thriller with Cathy and Brenna. The dances were awesome and there was a lot of spooky parts. The Grudge was really creepy and when they did the Salem witches dance the fire alarm went off so we all had to go outside in the
SNOW! Yes it was snowing....lightly but snowing none the less. We hope to make it a yearly Halloween tradition. I wish we could have taken some pictures of some of the dances but they wouldn't let us so I'll just share some pictures of cute us!

Spooky...

Shad's most favorite part of Halloween has always been dressing up. Thanks to his dad he has a love for Universal Studios monsters. I love the way he gets so into character making scary sounds.

Favorite Halloween Tradition

We love to go visit this house at Halloween time. We go by any time we're in Orem and sometimes go for rides just to go by and see it. Drive by and take a look but wait until DARK, it's much spookier in the dark. 321 S 300 E

What could be more Halloween..

We are so excited to be going to Thriller at the Covey Art Center here in town next weekend.  We love this show.  We saw it a few years ago in Ogden and were so excited to learn they would be performing it right up the street from us.  We have 3rd row tickets that are right on the isle and it's so fun when the zombies come up the isle and scare the kids.  Shad will love it!

For our birthdays Brett and I decided to make a once in a life time trip to see Phantom of the Opera in Las Vegas in November.  I am so excited.  I love the movie and the music but I have never been to a broadway play and I can't wait.  We are lucky enough to be going with the Wardell's and some of their friends.  Did you know that tickets for Wicked in SLC go on sale Oct 31st?  I want to go but I know tickets will be very expensive and probably hard to get.  I'm going to try though.

I love OCTOBER!!!!

I absolutly love fall.  I love the colors. I love the cooler weather. I love the crisp apples and then if you add caramel I love them even more.  I love candy corn and costumes.  I love having a birthday and presents and halloween parties.  I love scary movies and old black and white Frankenstien movies.  I love decorating and celebrating.  I love that my adorable husband was born on Halloween which gives me an excuse to decorate and celebrate even more.  I love drives through the mountains to see the changing colors and drives to the neighborhoods of the people with too much money that put up the most amazing yard displays.  I love carving pumpkins and roasted pumpkin seeds.  I love orange sweaters and halloween socks.  I love Fall!
