Ladies and Gentleman we have a new PRESIDENT!

It's true! I am the mother of the President!  5th Grade Class President that is.  So from this point on (Well, at least the next month) Shad will be known as Pres. or Mr. President around the house.  We are so proud of him.  He did a great job campaigning and was excited to be voted in by his class mates.  He will have many responsibilities around the classroom such as leading the Pledge, supervise the class when the teacher steps out, assist in passing off homework signatures, many, many things.  Shad's teacher is awesome!  He has him so psyched about school!  

Shad was so sweet and took some flowers to the girl he was running against so she wouldn't feel so sad.  What a great kid, don't you think!  He will be President for the month of September and then another student will get a turn but because he is the first of the year he gets to serve for 1 month and everyone else only gets a week.  What an awesome, wonderful, smart, funny, good looking and talented kid I've got!

And who you might ask was on the other team?  None other then Donny Osmond's son and he was there to cheer us on!  We'll I guess he was cheering for the other guys...but so what!  Donny Osmond was there people!  I need to get a new camara with better zooming.  I didn't want to be obnoxious so this is what I got.  I know I should have just went for it....believe me I regret it now.

LOVED IT!  I read it so fast because I just had to see what was going to happen next! I'm not someone who can read the last chapter to see how it ends (KIM, don't you DARE!) and now I'm going to start it again so I can enjoy it.  Once you all finish call me so we can chat!  

CAMPING TRIP

 

Because Brett had to help Kim do her aquarium he was not able to go camping with us but me and Shad had a great time camping with the Wardell's and Wiggins. I'm so grateful to have such good friends like them. The kids had a blast! They all got sooooo dirty and played so hard. Shad made a comment about the scarecrow flashlight being kinda freaky so everyone made sure that it followed him everywhere he went. We all had a good laugh every time he noticed it "haunting" him. It even followed him home! The weather was perfect and the water was refreshing. We are going camping again this weekend with the Bennett's but this time Brett gets to come. It should be interesting considering we have been married for 13 years and have never been camping together and he is a complete OCD neat freak! Wish me luck! (Why the heck is this all underlined? I can't figure out how to fix it!)

Welcome to the family....Mr. Toad

Brett and Shad made a trip to Richfield to help Kim put up her fish tank and came home with this!  Just what we need another pet.  He is pretty fun to watch though.  Shad decided to call him Mr. Toad because it just fits him.  He loves to eat all the grasshoppers and potato bugs we can find for him.  He also likes to pee on Shad sometimes...gross!  Don't worry Megan, Brett gave Jared instructions to bring one up for Cayson on his next trip up.  I would never dream of being the only ones with a toad.  Cayson will love it!
