Jazz vs Lakers! Jazz lose.

Maybe I really am bad luck at Jazz games because I've never been to one where they win.  Of course I wasn't going to tell everyone that before the game or they wouldn't have let me go, the Jazz on their winning streak and all.  Thanks for the invite Linda and thanks Dave and Amy for the tickets.  Have to note that dinner at the SkyBox was awesome too.  Good food and good friends, asking for a Jazz win may have been too much! Shout out to Derrick for his 23rd birthday!  And to the birthday girls L & L who turned old on the 21st.  Love you girls!  Thanks for all the years of GNO's, laughter and love!  You're the Best Friends Ever!  Go Jazz!

Down and Derby!

Shad came in 3rd place overall.  Great Race!  Notice the boot on his left leg, we thought he broke his foot in P.E. but it was just a good bruise on the bone and he only needed to wear the boot for a few days.

Aunt Kimmy's new man!

Meet Kimmy's new man....Jared!  We were finally able to meet him on
Saturday when he came up to visit Kim.  Poor guy had to put up with the entire Roberts clan as he was taken from one house to the next to meet everyone.  Too bad we didn't have it together
enough just to have a barbecue or something so he could meet us all at once.  It was nice getting to know him with out the distractions of everyone else though.  He is AWESOME! And he was such a great sport about meeting everyone. What a catch Kim!  I don't know about the rest of the family but I'm hopin' for a spring/summer wedding.  If anyone deserves eternal bliss and to be completely and incandescently in love it is our KIMMY!  Not only is he fun to look at but he also has so much in common with Kim that it's just plain freaky!

Future Missionary

Saturday Shad had a Primary activity were they pretended to be missionaries.  He was called to serve in the Sydney Australia Mission.  At the activity we met in the Chapel and the Mission President (Bishop Ouderkirk) talked about what it means to be a missionary.  Then we broke up into groups.  I was able to help out in the room for P-Day.  There was another area where they went on an "airplane" to their destination and watched a short video and another were they actually went tracking.  The missionaries would knock on doors and introduce themselves as Missionaries from the church and then either be accepted inside or turned away.  The kids loved it!  On P-Day they were able to write letters so each of them wrote a few letters to the missionaries who are serving from our ward. There was also a room were they could go to learn their language as some children were called to spanish speaking missions.   It really was a great activity.  At the end we all met back in the Chapel and heard from two missionaries serving in our area and a new convert in our ward.  Our Primary presidency did a great job putting this together.  The Elder behind Shad was from Washington State and the Elder behind Brenna was from California, but originally from the Philippines.
