I admit it...I love to blog surf! I'm a lurker on the blogs of people I don't even know. I have found the coolest stuff out there though. Like this place. Our Best Bites! I love it!!! I have made some of the recipes and they are amazing. Like this one and this one but best of all was this one I think I'll try this one next week after I've lost the 5 pounds I gained. Favorite Halloween Tradition

We love to go visit this house at Halloween time. We go by any time we're in Orem and sometimes go for rides just to go by and see it. Drive by and take a look but wait until DARK, it's much spookier in the dark. 321 S 300 E

What could be more Halloween..

We are so excited to be going to Thriller at the Covey Art Center here in town next weekend.  We love this show.  We saw it a few years ago in Ogden and were so excited to learn they would be performing it right up the street from us.  We have 3rd row tickets that are right on the isle and it's so fun when the zombies come up the isle and scare the kids.  Shad will love it!

For our birthdays Brett and I decided to make a once in a life time trip to see Phantom of the Opera in Las Vegas in November.  I am so excited.  I love the movie and the music but I have never been to a broadway play and I can't wait.  We are lucky enough to be going with the Wardell's and some of their friends.  Did you know that tickets for Wicked in SLC go on sale Oct 31st?  I want to go but I know tickets will be very expensive and probably hard to get.  I'm going to try though.

I love OCTOBER!!!!

I absolutly love fall.  I love the colors. I love the cooler weather. I love the crisp apples and then if you add caramel I love them even more.  I love candy corn and costumes.  I love having a birthday and presents and halloween parties.  I love scary movies and old black and white Frankenstien movies.  I love decorating and celebrating.  I love that my adorable husband was born on Halloween which gives me an excuse to decorate and celebrate even more.  I love drives through the mountains to see the changing colors and drives to the neighborhoods of the people with too much money that put up the most amazing yard displays.  I love carving pumpkins and roasted pumpkin seeds.  I love orange sweaters and halloween socks.  I love Fall!

Little House still good for Little Boys...

Shad and I were watching an episode of Little House on the Prairie.  It was the first episode when the girls start school.  Mrs. Ingall's sells eggs to mean Mrs. Olsen to make some extra money for the family and because they are brown eggs Mrs. Olsen offers to give her 4 cents less per dozen.  Well, Mrs. Ingall's said she could go somewhere else to sell her eggs if she had to and turned to walk away.  All of the sudden Shad yells out "Wait" just as Mrs. Olsen comes to her senses and realizes she needs those eggs to make some money herself.  Anyway, I look at Shad and I'm like did you just say "WAIT"?  And we both starting laughing.  Yep, even 10 year old boys get into Prairie.  I guess he was so into the story he thought he was there.  It was soo funny.  I hope you get a laugh out of this....cause I'm laughing just thinking about it again.  I love Little House.  What a good family show. 

Ladies and Gentleman we have a new PRESIDENT!

It's true! I am the mother of the President!  5th Grade Class President that is.  So from this point on (Well, at least the next month) Shad will be known as Pres. or Mr. President around the house.  We are so proud of him.  He did a great job campaigning and was excited to be voted in by his class mates.  He will have many responsibilities around the classroom such as leading the Pledge, supervise the class when the teacher steps out, assist in passing off homework signatures, many, many things.  Shad's teacher is awesome!  He has him so psyched about school!  

Shad was so sweet and took some flowers to the girl he was running against so she wouldn't feel so sad.  What a great kid, don't you think!  He will be President for the month of September and then another student will get a turn but because he is the first of the year he gets to serve for 1 month and everyone else only gets a week.  What an awesome, wonderful, smart, funny, good looking and talented kid I've got!

And who you might ask was on the other team?  None other then Donny Osmond's son and he was there to cheer us on!  We'll I guess he was cheering for the other guys...but so what!  Donny Osmond was there people!  I need to get a new camara with better zooming.  I didn't want to be obnoxious so this is what I got.  I know I should have just went for it....believe me I regret it now.
