FUN TIMES
We had so much fun having Kiley and Cayson over to play so I thought I would share some highlights of the evening. First thing we did was play outside where we promptly showed Kiley and Cayson the snails we have living in the front yard. Knowing how they like bugs we figured they would enjoy this and they had never encountered a snail at their house so it was quite exciting. We found a "daddy" snail, a "mommy" snail and a little tiny "baby" snail. I found some Easter buckets that we could put the snails in and from that point on the kids carried them with them throughout the evening. We went to the duck pond, took the snails. We walked to Shad's school for his choir concert, took the snails. We ate dinner, with the snails.

Finished!
Ok, I finished "the host" today and I have to say it was good but not the romantic book that I really enjoy and was hoping for. I personally thought it was a little long. It's not one that I could stand to read over again the way I could the Twilight series which I have now read all the books twice plus listened to them on CD several times. Yeah, I basically have those books memorized. I think Brett is really going to like this book. I liked the twists in it and I know he will like it because of the aliens. I would recommend it to people because I think it is well written. Stephenie Meyer is a great writer and has a way of helping you connect with the charactors. I'd really like to know what you thought of the book because I know that a lot of you who read my blog will also real this book. So leave a comment about your thoughts on it. I'll just keep waiting for Breaking Dawn. I think we have about 81 days left. That's less then 3 months people!

OMG...I LOVE THIS GIRL!
I could not possibly love my Shandi anymore then I already do! She is the most beautiful, loving, funny, creative, talented and sassy little thing. I'm so lucky to have her as my daughter and to have had our relationship grow the way it has the last year. I'm so proud of the woman she has become and the friendship we share. I love that our color can be so opposite but that we still look so alike. I just can't wait to see what the future brings for us. I'm the luckiest mom in the world. I love this picture of us and the way she still makes me feel so young and the way that we always laugh so much when we are together. She even pampered me on Mother's Day by painting my toenails. I love you my Shandi-Bandi!

Shandi's gunna kill me!
My sweetie came over for me to dye her hair and I took advantage and got some candid shots. Isn't she so beautiful, even without any make-up. Oh, I love her so much! I'm looking forward to a Mommy/Daughter date with her when dad and Shad go on the Father/Sons campout. We're doing dinner and a movie while the boys go play in the dirt. And we all know how Brett feels about camping so it should be interesting. I love your guts Shandi-Bandi!
